Discover the secrets of Italy's All-Time favorite bread

If you can’t forget that tasty, aromatic Foccacia you had while on holiday in Tuscany, this is the class for you. This class focuses on the “all Italian” favorite breads: Foccacia and Ciabatta. The dough has a high water content, which can be tricky to work with, but the pay off is amazing! These are light breads, with large air holes, the perfect companion to your favorite pasta dish. During this session we will also bake some grissini – Italian Breadsticks – which work perfectly as pre-dinner snacks.
This is a 5 hour long class. After an introduction to bread making, we will start making the first dough. While the doughs are proving, we will serve a light meal, and I will use the break to discuss bread baking techniques, the kinds of flour to use for certain types of breads and how to make bread baking a part of your daily life. You will take home all the goodies you baked in the class.

I’ve been baking ever since I was a little girl. I love spending time in my kitchen trying out new recipes and making up my own!
My big passion is home baked bread and cakes – no bread machines in my kitchen! I enjoy kneading bread, seeing the dough develop in my hands, and the baking highlight is taking the tray out of the oven with a steaming hot bread.
